Gwen Butterfield

President/CEO

Gwen Butterfield is the President and CEO of Butterfield Communications, Inc. (BCI) Prior to founding BCI, Ms. Butterfield was the Executive Vice President of the Katherman Company (TKC), a land use and planning firm. Prior to 1996, she was a Vice President of Handelman-Katherman.

As a life-long resident of the South Bay and Harbor Area of Los Angeles, Ms. Butterfield is an invaluable asset for community and governmental relations in this region. She has more than 19 years of volunteer community service experience, which has yielded unparalleled strengths in leadership, organization, fundraising, communications, and networking skills. Her extensive community experience is combined with a strong working relationship with elected officials and governmental agencies at the city, county, state and federal levels.

Ms. Butterfield has successfully represented clients such as the Mitsubishi Corporation/ConocoPhillips, The Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway, the Alameda Corridor Transportation Authority, Valero Refinery, Port Los Angeles Distribution Center, Fast Lane Transportation, Galaxy Commercial Holding, the Los Angeles and Cabrillo Beach Yacht Clubs, California Sulphur, Ecology Auto Part, Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics (WWL) and Pacific Energy/Pipeline. She specializes in both organizing community and business support for, and providing Governmental Relations for a variety of land use issues faced by businesses in the Los Angeles region.
